Win $1 million – Dick Smith Wilberforce Award
Dick Smith is offering a $1 million prize for any individual under 30 years of age to heighten the awareness of the world’s booming population, and it’s relationship with human induced climate change.
Dick Smith’s documentary “Population Puzzle” follows on from Sir David Attenborough’s BBC documentary “How Many People Can Live on Planet Earth?”.
It is a real credit to Dick who is the only well known identity in Australia with the balls to take up the fight. We have already seen the benefits of Dick’s fabulous documentary with the appointment of a Federal Population Minister in Tony Burke MP, and with Prime Minister Julia Gillard wanting a sustainable Australia instead of a big Australia.
In September 2009, my youngest daughter, Jenny, phoned me and said, “dad, they are all talking about human induced climate change, and they’re all going off to Copenhagen. Why don’t they talk about the ‘elephant in the room’”. I said, “Jenny, what’s that?”. She said, “population!”.
